What to do in New York

Fifth Avenue is an attraction in itself. It starts in Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village and runs north along the center of Midtown, parallel to the east of Central Park, and through the Upper East Side and Harlem, where it ends at the Harlem River on 142nd Street.
Fifth Avenue serves as a dividing line for the streets of Manhattan, separating for example E 59th and W 59th Street. This is extremely important in order to find your way around the city.
Many prominent buildings are located along 5th Avenue in Midtown and the Upper East Side. In Midtown there's the Empire State Building, the New York Public Library, Rockefeller Center and Saint Patrick's Cathedral. The strip of 5th Avenue between 80th and 90th Street has so many museums that it's called Museum Mile and includes institutions like the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum.
Between 34th and 60th one can find luxurious stores including Tiffany & Co., Cartier SA, Burberry, Ermenegildo Zegna, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Prada, Hermès, Salvatore Ferragamo, Dolce & Gabbana, Bvlgari, Rolex, Emilio Pucci, Armani Exchange, Coach Inc., Escada, Façonnable, Christian Dior, Victoria's Secret,Lacoste, Fendi, Versace, Kenneth Cole, Saks Fifth Avenue, Emanuel Ungaro, H&M, Hollister Co, Abercrombie & Fitch, Banana Republic, Hugo Boss, Zara, Tommy Hilfiger, United Colors of Benetton, Nike, Cartier, Diesel, Gap, Armani, Van Cleef & Arpels, Godiva y Swarovski.
